Barely Gentlemen History
It was the end of 2009. I was out of high school not wanting to work a 9-5, I quickly tried to find a get Rich quick scheme. Everybody was making T-Shirts so I Thought I would make my own. I called the line Rabbi made a design and ran with it. Unfortunately, I was quickly bought to the realization that it wasn't that easy. So I put the idea aside and decided to get a job.The idea of my own line was still in the back of my head, It started to become more than a scheme, my love for fashion got involved. I had all of the ideas running through my head. I just needed to find a name. Around the end of 2011 I was talking with my girlfriend and I had the name Gentlemen stuck in my head. Wanting to incorporate that southern gent aura. Out of nowhere she said barely gentlemen. It just sounded perfect for me. It describes the young entrepreneur trying to get to the top or that True Gentlemen status, so i stuck with it and started what I have so far. All of my pieces are handmade for each and every customer. I put my love and passion into every piece I sell. This is what you see before you "BarelyGentlemen, Pass the brand...

Role model
Fonzworth Bentley as he is widely known. Government name derrick Watkins. He has been some1 I looked up to since he was floating on umbrellas. Everything about this man needs to be embodied into the youth of today. The way he presents himself, the way he speaks, even his music has a message. I just wanted to say thank you for being such a great role model. If you ever read this ..... I just hope my words, and manners could help me to be a great role model like you 1 day sir.

Thrifting
I feel like thrifting is an art. It is what you make of it. If you go in like these are old clothes ahhh that's disgusting! Then most likely you wont find anything because you wont stay long. On the other hand if you are like me. I go in expecting to find something amazing. Which I usually always do. It takes time and effort to look through the racks and see what you find. Its not for everyone though! It seems like a lot more people are doing it now. Even though they were the ones who said "I ain wearing no old clothes man" they are now contradicting themselves. Its ok though at least they are hopefully learning something. It does not take a million bucks to dress well. You can have a very nice outfit for as low as $10.00. Wow! I know, who would have thought.
